I haven’t had a lot of time to write lately. I’ve had to take a full time corporate job. One that is fairly tolerable, pretty low-stress most of the time and certainly well-paying. I’ve got income taxes to pay (on my unemployment from last year), student loans (from my ill-fated decision to attend—and graduate from—law school), to pay for my private psychiatrist and some medications that I cannot get samples of (I don’t have insurance), for dental expenses because my teeth are in dire need of attention, for my therapist, whom I now see only once a month…the list of expenses is endless.
I’ve not told me employer I have Bipolar Disorder, I don’t think it would go down very well. It’s just a temporary situation, me working at this office job, until I get back on my feet as a freelancer, until I can travel afford to extensively, until I finish (and sell) my book…until, until, until.
I’ll write more soon. Maybe early in the morning when I have a few minutes before preparing for work, or on the weekend when I have more time.
